Thank you for visiting my blog. I'm Kely Jitilon (otherwise known as Donald K.Pete @DKPete in social media) and I live in a village called Kuai-Kandazon Penampang. Kuai is located at the Moyog River bank about 10 km away from Kota Kinbalu, the Sabah State capital. Have been living here since one year old. It's well known with Moyog River Bamboo Rafting Festival which is celebrated yearly since 2012. Previously, the community here were planting wet paddy or rice for living. The predominantly Kadazan community village are rich with traditional culture, lifestyle and foods. Since 1st August 2015, have opted for an early retirement from EPF (Employees Provident Fund, Malaysia), a government statutory body operates under the MoF (Ministry of Finance), responsible and accountable for social security of employees in the country. Held the last post as Senior Manager and Head of Registration and Finance Management Section, in EPF Petaling Jaya, Selangor (April 2014 - July 2015). Been the Branch Head / Customers Service Head, EPF Kota Kinabalu (January 2007 - March 2014); Manager, Members Service Section, EPF Sabah (November 2005 - December 2006); Section Head, Audit Management Operation (BAOP), EPF Internal Audit Department, HQ Kuala Lumpur (April 2003 - October 2005); State Head, EPF Pahang, East Coast Peninsula Malaysia (Dec 2000 - March 2003); Deputy Manager, Property Managment, EPF Sabah (Aug 1998 - Nov 2000); Deput Manager, Employers Section, EPF Sabah (May 1996 - July 1998); Deputy Manager, Members Account, EPF Sabah (June 1993 - April 1996) and Assistant Manager, Withdrawal & Admin Section, EPF Sabah (Sept 1996 - Mei 1993) Now returned home to our lovely and beautiful state Sabah, the Land Below the Wind and spending most of the time as a freelance photographer, a traveler and also work with CLEAR (Community-Led Environmental Awareness for River) as the founder and adviser to this NGO. We're also hosting an airbnb #PogunKKJitilonVillageStay, Penampang Sabah. People asked, how's life after early retirement? Simply, Grateful and Wishful😎 The past months has been so good after opted for early retirement. Pretty good position and monthly income was the sweetest temptation to stay but never regrets to let it go together with all the stressful work culture and never ending rush hours. There's no great reward other than having own freedom. Never before enjoyed longer than 2 weeks consecutive annual leave for the past 30 years in Federal office. The first 2 years out of office was beautiful experience to discover colors of the world during the WINTER 2015 (in Paris, Rome, Berlin, Scotland, London, Bath, Liverpool, Manchester and of course Birmingham in UK); during the SUMMER 2016 (Cornwall, Land's End, Lake Districts, Ample forth Abbey, Leeds, Cardiff, Wales, Snowdonia and again London and Birmingham in UK); cool season of tropical monsoon climate 2016 in Bangkok,Thailand; AUTUMN 2017 (Hong Kong and Macau); SPRING 2017 (Oslo / Flam / Bergan Norway), (Costworld / Oxfod / Bath / Doset / Birmingham UK). Looking forward to another adventure to continue capturing little moments of clarity that highlight truths about travels, adventures, and life. Love to meet awesome people with great encouragement and inspiration to appreciate God's creation, the planet earth. Welcoming any suggestions from friends throughout the globe, the #bestvacation for Springs and Autumn this year. Have already got our ticket, since November last year, for Yading National Park & Meili Mountain Autumn Photography. That's might not be the whole answer but really want them to know that this option was the best and a dream come true to the whole family. It been our hope to have more time together at our own hometown Penampang, focusing on quality and happy family with the community and environments.     Share your blessings with many and be an inspiration to all that you encounter. Enjoy the richness of God’s creation and teach your children to love and fear God. Wake up every day with a grateful heart because our God is good!
    England this time of the year is cold… I don’t do too good with cold weather… But once in a while a good escapade from the whole year hot weather at home.
    Kelly keep the pictures coming. You are good with your photography. I especially like the pictures of your children.

      Sure will keep taking good views and recording them all here as this is going to be part of the channel for my children and friends like you to communicate and knowledge sharing.

      True, England is very cold right now and what more if it’s windy and raining. But it’s quite alright with all the warm clothing prepared and brought all the way from the land below the wind.

      Yesterday, the very first day of December, my youngest son brought me to Dudley Zoological Garden and I must say wow! It’s lovely environment … you can see all the latest pictures uploaded today. And if you visit Birmingham next year, this is one interesting place to see.

    Why Birmingham? Your son seem very familiar with that place? I love travelling and seeing new places and making new friends. So while you and your family are there make the most of this opportunity to learn more about the local culture and try the local cooking too. Holiday become like a clockwork if you rush through places and whizz past the friends you could make. So relax and savor the local tea, the fragrant pastries or scones with a good helping of clotted cream and lovely home made jam together with your family. Make new friends and expand your network of friends. Share with them the warmness of the Sabahan love.
